This creation is the most recent – timeline-speak in the Vintage Series. The Samoa Cookie was officially introduced in 1976 (the year I was born)- earlier than that, 1917 to be exact…the Girl Scouts in Muskogee, Ok. decided to bake and sell homemade cookies for fundraising and ka-boom here we are today. The Samoa was most likely named for the island of Samoa where they count coconuts among their main exports. The Samoa is my favorite GirlScout cookie – I combined our from scratch Chocolate Cream with Sweet-Gooey Coconut and drizzled it with Chocolate and Caramel.
